What are Dyeable Shoes?
Dyeable shoes are specially made shoes whose fabric allows for easy absorption of color dyes. The special coating doesn’t change the look and feel of the shoes after you color them, plus avoids blotching and uneven coating. When you receive your dyeable wedding shoes, they will come in a plain satin white finish, with protecting on any crystals, flowers, or rhinestones which won’t be affected by your dyes.
Dyeing can be a challenging job, so David’s Bridal offers in-store custom dyeing services for any of the products they sell (they don’t accept dyeable items sold from other wedding companies). Just take your db shoes to your nearest store location and within 2 weeks you have a perfectly colored pair of wedding, bridesmaid, or party shoes. Over 100 colors to choose, or bring your fabric color sample, DB color name, or color swatch ID and match it perfectly.
As with all dyed shoes and footwear, keep away from moisture. Many stores sell a water resistant spray, so check to see if preserving is an option for your shoes style. Also, if you plan on having other wedding accessories dyed (such as a handbag, purse, hair piece, etc.), then try to match the colors at the same time to avoid variances.
